Gap-tastic!

As Christmas came to an end I started on this cowl. It’s by Jen Geigley and you can find the free pattern on Ravelry to make your own Gap knock-off!

I used 2 balls of Van Dyck by Filtes King in a purple-pink blend with 9mm circular needles.
This pattern is perfect for catching up on your favorite shows since it is a mindless seed stitch pattern that knits up quick.

Mine is wrapped around twice but depending on the wool you use you may manage 3 times. I would highly recommend this pattern for yourself or a gift. We had a few snowfalls over Christmas, as well it’s been colder lately, so this cowl will definitely be getting a lot of wear!

Retro Redux Shrug

To completed this shrug you have to use four different sets of needles switching as you knit in order to do the shaping (5, 5.5, 6, 6.5 mm).
It knit up fairly fast though. Now if only the weather would warm up so I could wear it!

Knitted Cowl

Since it is starting to get a little colder out it’s scarf and cowl time…
Here are pics of the new cowl I made with a Merino sock yarn.

Buttercup

Now that summer is officially over I conveniently finished the Buttercup knitted top by Heidi Kirrmaier. I think it turned out nicely, maybe it will warm up before it gets really cold here so I can get one wear out of it this year!

More info is available on Ravelry.
