Key Keeper Coin Purse

And now for something springy! A new little purse to hold onto keys, change and a few other things. It has an inside pocket that didn’t quite end up in the photo. The pattern is from Amy Butler’s Style Stitches: 12 Easy Ways to 26 Wonderful Bags. Fabric is from Jo-ann’s.

Simplicity 2396

Pattern: Simplicity 2396 View A

Fabric: Home Decor, polyester lining

Finished another project! This bag was easy to sew and looks quite nice finished. The only thing I changed was shortening the inside pocket about and inch, as well as sewing down the middle of the pocket to create a double pocket.

Final Summer Top

Luckily for me it was still warm enough during September for me to take a picture of the last top I made. Here are the details:

Pattern: Simplicity 2892 View D

Fabric: Rayon/Polyester blend from my stash

I thought this was a cute top, and like the way it turned out. There is a lot of gathering involved in the yoke which would be the most difficult part. It does fit a bit big, something I find quite often with Simplicity patterns so if you do make one you should be fine to cut one size down. I made this top because I wanted a simple project and liked the look of it. I think it turned out better than the envelope picture and may make it again next year.
