This weekend I used another recipe from The Allergen-Free Baker's Handbook. It is described in the book as a classic coffee cake. You can also watch the author Cybele Pascal make this recipe in a Martha Stewart clip here on the author's website. This was another easy recipe! While it was baking Mr.K and my … Continue reading Classic Crumb Cake
After being back in Orlando last week and having more treats at the Babycakes Bakery I came home with a craving for some donuts! This past weekend I tried a recipe from the Babycakes Covers the Classics cookbook. I made the plain cake donuts, with cinnamon sugar sprinkled on top. Yummy vanilla bean cupcakes.
Over the weekend it was birthday time for my Dad and Mr. K's Dad. Their birthdays are one day apart, so we had both of our families over for cake. This year it was a white cake with a chocolate whipped filling, and buttercream icing, topped with writing in chocloate. Everyone seemed to like it!
Another copycat recipe from the Fast Food Fix book - Starbucks Banana Pound Cake. Whenever I make this Mr. K has to take an extra piece or two for his co-workers as they have become addicted to it as well!
More pumpkin! This time a mix with carrot. I used a recipe found on Kraft Canada, linked here. Very tasty, and everyone enjoyed it!
